Rooms at Grand Solmar are also designed to be restful. Each room is a suite. The smallest are 65 square metres and can sleep a family split between a king-sized bed and a fold-down Murphy bed. Each suite has a full kitchen and a dining area, so it’s easy to cook for yourself. Or, select an optional meal plan and choose among the excellent on-site restaurants. Wooden and wrought-iron furnishings are handcrafted and there’s plenty of space to unpack and stretch out. Every suite has a large balcony overlooking the beautiful resort area too.
“The atmosphere at Grand Solmar Land’s End is zen-like. Though the resort is almost full during my visit, the gardens, pools and beach are quiet. I gaze out from one of several infinity pools to the sea, lulled by the rhythmic crashing of the waves. A fish leaps out of the water, foreshadowing the humpback whales which will soon make their winter appearance at this point where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.
For a truly tranquil experience, don’t miss Grand Solmar’s spa. I spent an afternoon in a cabana overlooking the beach getting my body and face exfoliated, massaged and rejuvenated. I would have crashed for a nap afterwards but was revivified by a delicious spa meal that was light and nourishing.” Johanna Reed, TravelEater
