Throughout the hotel, the attention to detail in the design and furnishings is exquisite.
“There is an almost endless choice of Dubai hotels suiting all budgets but if it’s a little luxury you are after than the Ritz-Carlton is a great choice. While the hotel itself is low rise, the skyscrapers form a stunning backdrop – a beach and city break all in one.
I was more than happy with my room with a balcony overlooking the Arabian Gulf, an extremely comfortable king-sized feather bed, a lounge area and desk, tea and coffee-making facilities and a walk-in wardrobe. The spacious ensuite bathroom had a large bathtub, a separate ‘Rainforest’ shower, double sinks and an excellent selection of toiletries, as well as plush towelling robes and slippers. There was also a 47” flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and, discreetly tucked away in a drawer by the bed, a tablet controlling the lights, air-conditioning and so on.
