The Uffizi Gallery
This treasure trove of Renaissance art includes Botticelli’s ‘Birth of Venus’ as well as hundreds of other iconic paintings which can easily take three hours or more to see. The venue, designed by the Italian painter Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century, is a fitting setting for these masterpieces. The Uffizi is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Arrive early, and you may be lucky enough to have the place to yourself.
