“A two-day riot of colour, dance and music, the Sani Festival is the perfect way to build a social camaraderie among the far-flung villages of the Zanskar valley.” Sandeepa and Chetan
A young couple from Mumbai, Sandeepa and Chetan, caught the travel bug while on honeymoon and have since embraced travelling and photography as a way of life. They are now exploring India, capturing beautiful images as they go. Once they have satisfied their wanderlust in India they plan to travel the world.
Their work has been featured in National Geographic Travel and Lonely Planet amongst others.

Love this photograph, so colorful, vivid and the faces are beautiful, well done!
That photo is a knockout. India is my most favorite place and this Sani festival looks like a great one to attend. Everything is always so colorful there! I’ll have to take a peek over at Sandeepa’s blog.
I love India and Sandeepa and Chetan’s colourful blog is full of wonderful places and events.
Lovely photo. So much character in all those faces, particularly some of the older ladies. I bet they have a tale or two to tell!
These’s a good atmosphere in this photo but I keep wondering what’s going on in the global image. Maybe some future shots will clear this out.
I’d highly recommend checking out Sandeepa and Chetan’s blog. You’ll find more information and some more wonderful photography from this festival there.
Thanks for the advice Kathryn. It’s crystal clear now for me 🙂 Cheers, Jempi.
