Our featurted hotel of the month is Masseria Torre Maizz, a former Puglian watch tower and working farm converted into a luxury 5 star hotel. We love the combination of traditional character and modern luxury in such an idyllic setting surrounded by orchards and vineyards. In addition the hotel has its own golf course set amongst ancient olive trees and the stunning Coccaro Beach Club.
Having opened just last year, this small boutique hotel is sure to prove popular. With just 5 double bedrooms plus 1 suite and with no children allowed, it is a serene oasis in the colourful country of The Gambia. The Austrian owners left their careers in publishing to build their dream home with a small, family run hotel attached, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and they invite you to share their dream with them.
With good reason most visitors to the beautiful Mediterranean island of Sardinia flock to the coast, as the beaches are among the most beautiful in the world, but, if they don’t ever venture inland, they are really missing out. The scenery inland is breathtaking and in the foothills of the majestic mountains you’ll find one of the mist charming hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It is only rated as a four star hotel but if it is good enough for the likes of Madonna and Richard Gere, than it is good enough for me!
